Stefanos received his first degree in Automatic Control from the Technological Educational Institute of Piraeus, Greece. He gained industrial experience in developing automation systems in manufacturing while working for the Hellenic Defense Systems S.A. In 2008, he received his MSc in Control Systems from the University of Sheffield where he focused on vibration control systems with semi-active technology.
Stefanos joined the Precision Manufacturing Center in 2009 and he is currently working on his PhD. He is involved in the FRAME EU project which is targeting the creation of an adaptive control and decision support environment for minimizing the ramp-up time of complex assembly systems. His main focus is on the adaptive control infrastructure, particularly the logic development at a station level. Within the FRAME project he is closely working with industrial partners such as Rolls-Royce plc., Bosch and Mikron.
